The California gubernatorial election is this year, and it is easily the most important election in 25 years.
The irony of this election is that Jerry Brown, the democratic candidate, ended his second term as Governor of California 27 years ago. He was the 34th governor of California, and served two terms.

Faculty, staff and students were greeted Monday morning, March 8, International Women's Day, to strangers on the Laney campus quad, who decorated the quad with posters of aborted fetuses on large 8-foot scaffolds and passed out leaflets against a woman's right to choose.

The online world has recently been dominated by Facebook, a social networking site where people sign up to connect with old high school friends or to find people they haven't seen in a while. Twitter, a website where you can update everyone with where and what you are doing at all times also has a large market as does Tumblr, a new and popular blogging site.

As California students, we are among the world's most privileged. Not only of material wealth and resources to our advantage - frankly, with approximately ten straight years of budget cuts and controversies, we're barely hanging onto those - but with certainty because of the cultural resources around us.

America, we've been duped.
Last week, my biology class learned the truth about bottled water.
It is common knowledge that marketing is not always truthful, especially when it comes to bottled water.
Most commercials paint bottled water brands with an image of pristine lakes nestled between snow-tipped peaks in Fiji, implying the consumer is paying for fresh spring water.

The time has come to take action. On Feb. 24, the ACE negotiations team was told that the Board of Trustees has said that there will be no "sharing the pain" to resolve these cuts until it gets worse. This means that the District has decided to resolve its budget problems with layoff and therefore devastation of the colleges.

In my strong opinion, sexual predators are the scum of the earth!
The article titled "A Culture of Indifference" says that sexual assaults on campus result from little to no punishment from the school's justice systems, "while their 'victims' lives are frequently turned upside down.
